Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. She was best known as Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with performing in Preparatory School before moving to Ohio with her family in the mid-70s. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre through Northwestern University. Anna started her acting career in Chicago-area theatres for a short time. She then moved on to film and television. Anna's first major part was Arden on Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. The actress continued to make appearances as a guest star in a handful of TV shows and films including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she appeared in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was also one of her roles. Gunn took the stage in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn was a part of a four-part audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. The drama of Breaking Bad is driven by the relationship with Walter White, his wife Skyler and their strained relationship. The deterioration of this relationship is akin to Walter White's dying years.
